[ On the morning of December 25th, outside of his bedroom, Jaskier will find a gift wrapped in black, white and pink. Inside, he'll find a small, round box, made of gold and mother of pearl in floral patterns; it opens from the top and has a single little drawer on the front. When opened, the lid contains a mirror, and the box itself contains a flat surface that begins to rotate, slowly building upward into a blossoming cherry tree, complete with minuscule wafting petals and miniature birds hopping from branch to branch. A quiet melody plays on a loop as long as the box is open.
Around the edge of the mirror in the lid, there are words carved into the metal of the box in script. Lights will guide you home and ignite your bones. In the drawer, there is only a single piece of paper.

Instead, he leaves a medium sized canvas propped against the wall where the wall mounts for Jaskier's instruments are. It is covered, pinned with a note that simply reads FOR JULIAN.
Removing the fabric will reveal Alucard's answer to Jaskier's deeply dramatic portrait of the dhampir. It features the bard himself not sitting still and staring at the viewer, but painted as if from the wings of a stage, showing his full body in a three quarters view, plucking at his lute and seeming to wink towards the viewer all while having his attention fully out on the crowd. There is an emphasis on movement and action, as if one can lean in and hear the performance.
The style of the piece puts great emphasis on the lighting, and there are little flourishes of gold and silver paint to truly make things pop. The frame is simple in contrast, if only to highlight the skill of the piece itself.
They're even and an artist got paid goddamn well to boot.]

[Left in the office is a wreath of glowing foliage, clearly from Ikorr given that it is the only place with such blooms. Faintly glowing ruby red stems are accented with softer whites and purples, all interwoven with warmer straw tones to make something that's clearly been made with care, even as the maker is learning the craft.
There's no note, but it isn't like anyone else but Adrian is going to fuck around doing something like this. The implication, that some of Alucard's best memories are due to the bard, are fully unspoken. He just hopes that Jaskier has had the time to pop into Ikorr in all the celebrations.]

So he may have been thinking about this one for a while, given that the both of them have starting buying from galleries now, especially in Ikorr. Alucard has a few personal preferences, but between the two of them, there's a real enjoyment of sculpture.
Which is why when Jaskier comes into the office one day, he'll see a new bronze work sitting on the coffee table, taking up about the half the length of it. Two joyful gryphons are shown running beside each other in different stages of their movement cycle, frozen in time. They're clearly gryphons, but there's distinct flourishes to how feathers and fine details are depicted. Neither is especially meant to be Mog, but neither couldn't not be either. The artist's signature consists of a small bitemark of vampire teeth on one of the corners. Normal Ikorr stuff.
There's no note or explanation. There's no need. Neither of them are subtle and Quille isn't going to do something like this. Only the gauntlet thrown down for Jaskier.]
