Just before you start pontificating about my ego or somesuch, I did not pick the moniker. Thanks to my brilliant efforts to improving the Free Cities and memorializing their dead, I was given the title Gem of the Phoenix.
And I happened to like the title, thank you.
If you ever read a book, by the way, you'd understand the point of the phoenix is not that it dies, but that it lives again.
